Executive Compensation; How much is too much?

The Office of Federal Procurement Policy has increased the GFY 08 cap on executive compensation to $612,196.  The GFY 07 cap was $597,912.  The cap limits the total amount of executive compensation that can be charged to the Government.  The cap does not limit the total compensation.

On a related note, Rep. Christopher Murphy, D-Conn has introduced legislation that would require contractors to disclose the names and salaries of their highest paid executives if the company generates 80% of its revenue from federal contracts and holds $5 million or more in such contracts.  The bill is currently in committee.
